Default How can you tell if it's a VRD grill?

So I wanna buy a new VRD grill, but at the same time, if the knock of ones on ebay are the exact same, then does it really matter?

I guess what I am trying to say, is that is there a huge difference in the real VRD grill and the knock off ones like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-09...Q5fAccessories

I'd rather pay $70 shipped, than $200 if there is no difference at all. You know what I mean?

It isn't a "knockoff". If it was you'd be able to tell. This is just another instance of a company reselling a product like VRD was.

I like the VRD ones a lot better. And they are easier to install and don't require any drilling like the Fig grills.

^^ probably with the fig or the johnny designz grills yes. But with the VRD you wouldn't have to, but it would definitely be a lot easier if you did.

The VRD grill fits exactly like stock and is not held on by any zipties. It just clips right in like the regular stock one does.

no the VRD is not a replica of the RS1 grille. the closest replica is the one you have already. if the VRD grille is close to any of the RS grilles its the RS2. if the 05-07 stock and an RS2 grille mated and had a child, it would prolly end up like the VRDs.

i bought the johnny designz one and it didn't fit exactly right and the guy from the shop said it probably needs the actual "casing" around it in order to fit like the scion one does. also, the holes were a little too big so I could see the white painted parts behind it but maybe it wouldn't be so bad depending on your car color...but I'd go with the other ones
