I have the HKS Hi-Power Muffler and it's been raining here a lot. My muffler is not as shiney as it used to anymore. I want to know how you guys clean your muffler. I tried just using water and a towel to wipe it, but there are still too much crap on it. I think it's stainless steel, not quite sure...

 

chrome polish would probably work

 

good question....i think i read somewhere on here that people use windex and a microfiber cloth...and then some other type of cleaner...however i believe they were talking about the trd exhaust...not sure tho. I did use windex on my exhaust tip and damn did that thing work...but i was too afraid to do it more because i didn't know if it would effect it...

 

i use mothers mag & aluminum polish. It works great on the wheels too.

Thank you for this thread, I have the Megan OE style exhaust and the titanium tip almost doesn't show the blue anymore. how much is the mothers stuff?

any stainless steel cleaner will work also...just make sure it's not right after you drove and the exhaust is still hot

i use the product above in conjunction with a porter cable buffer and a polishing pad

 

its only a muffler.. i never clean it.

only clean the tip with quick detailer spray.

 

use bluemagic....its works really well...and its pretty cheap..

I use mothers too just let it sit there for like 10 mins it'll look good as new.

i use a rubbing compound it works grand and i also use the mother ball

 

i use mothers as well, but i dont think letting it sit there will do anything.. its a rubbing compund....
