Default How to Install an emblem onto the trunk?

I plan to buy TRD or VVT-i emblem, but how do you glue it on? Do I need to drill holes? If glue, where can I buy that kind of glue for emblem? Thanks

most of the time the emblems are backed with 3M tape/adhesive. All you have to do is just stick em on. 3M also make makes a glue specific for emlbems

yes, 3M Emblem Tape. available at most decent auto parts stores, and (when I worked there 4 years ago) at WalMart in the body repair section of automotives.

just as easy as the tape that the factory puts on. Someone with 2 seconds and a screwdriver will have the emblem, and you will have trashed paint.

This board is the most random place to put this post. That is all.

not sure which vehicle you are talking about.

For the xB, the front emblem is simply clipped to the front grill. reach behind the grill and squeeze the clips.

Rear emblems are emblem taped on. Mine have a life span of about 400 more miles. I told myself I wouldn't do any body mods for 1000 miles. 377 to go, the emblems get shaved, along with a few other things I have on my mind.

This doesn't belong in the Scion dL forum area... moving it to the tC Aero area.

It might not come off, but you can sure bet anyone that would be a thief will CERTAINLY destroy your paint trying to get it off there.

That's held on with the 3M sticky tape that came on the back of it.

You can also buy Trim and Emblem adhesive at your local auto parts store.

It's always a good idea to make a run to your local auto parts store to check out what they stock, before you start messing around with your ride.
