How much paint is needed to fully paint a tC (engine bay, door jams, trunk, etc.)?? i plan on getting my car sprayed a different color, but want to buy the paint and clear myself to try to save a little on the total cost of the job... Is 1 gallon of paint and 1 gallon of clear enough??

 

don't forget primer! (unless you're letting the shop take care of that)

 

yea i didnt forget about primer.. im just debating on which color to go with now... i either want the white diamond tricoat off the new cadillacs or the sundance metallic off the toyota matrix... current color of my car is very similar o the sundance metallic, just a little darker so if i go that route, ill let the shop use their own primer but if i go with the white, im getting the white primer for it to make sure they dont use the regular grey and the color doesnt come out the way i want you know...

why dont you just call the shop thats doing it and ask them

 

i haven't decided on which shop to use yet, but i should call around and see what shops say...

 

yeah just call a couple shops and see if they can give you a ball park idea and i would also check to see how much they charge for the paint for a price to compare

 

ill call some shops around and see what they say... just thought i'd ask here first since it's tC related and not for just any car...

 

how much did it end up costing to paint the TC?
