Default How much is too much CF for the tC?

Well, I think it is about time to do the drastic change of my BSP tC to the Carbon Fiber tC. I want to get the AIT Carbon Fiber Body Kit, CF hood and trunk, Kaminari CF Spoiler, canards, full CF interior, CF head liner, the CF engine cover...you get the point.

So what would you guys think about it? Too much CF or do you think it will be unique w/ my vertical doors and soon to be turbo? Let me know. Thanks SL.

i think a completly CF'd out tC would be cool. I dont particularly like CF, but i think all of it together would be nice. I havent seen a completely CF'd out tC yet... come close with a few of the firmware sponsored cars, but that's about it.

haha. well, with BSP, i think it would blend in well because you can't really see it at night very well. during the day, it would be more evident, but with a carbon fiber body kit, everything needs to match in my opinion. plus, no one has this and I wouldn't mind doing it, just will take me a while. Anymore opinions SL? thanks for your comments.

What's your goal here? Are you trying to cut weight or strictly looks? CF was meant a an alternative material to body panels and the like to take weight out of sports/race cars.

If your going for the CF look, I'd suggest using a faux cf finish. For the amount of money you'd be pouring into your tC, I'd contemplate what you really want to achieve...

That said, customizing a car is all about originality. If going all out on the CF is what YOU think looks good, go for it! Forget what others think it looks like...it's not their car and it's not their money.

Cheers.

Very well said sir. I want to do CF for the looks and for the weight reduction. Me and my twin brother both have two tC's w/ VDC. I was going to get this body kit and he was going to get the Rado and we want to be well known in the Scion community for having very unique cars. I guess what I am going for is show and performance. Just wanted to see what people would think. Thanks again.

hmmm CF rider then :D

Go for it, just make sure you got the patience and time to clean that CF properly hehe

I also went with a half FM half CF theme. I like both aspects a lot.

CF Rider, hmmm, hopefully when this gets done, i should change my SN to that. lol. the one thing is that i heard that CF needs to be clear coated every 6-8 months otherwise it will turn yellow. is that true?

If you keep her in the shade and in the cool then there shouldn't be much fading. (Imo)

Just make sure all the weaves match. Nothing more annoying that a lot of CF with mis-matched weave.
