so because of the sudden down pour of rain in socal i didn't want all that water getting into my hood since i hve the AIT CF hood..i stupidly decided to put trash bags over the vent that night and when i woke up the sun was shining and i took off the bag and woke up to this
idk if you can see it that good because of the camera phone..but now its like faded or sumthin where the bag was..if you can see the line...PLEASE someone let me know if i can get rid of this or if i should just get it painted white now ( my car color

maybe you can have it wetsanded and re-clear coated? did u try buffing it out?

 

i tried using smart wax an spray detailer nuthin did anything

is it the lighter spot I see. It could be the film from the bag. I would try clay barring it first. This is how you do it. Spray the lube that comes with it and just slide the clay (with a little pressure). If that doesn't work, maybe polishing compound will do.

I would also try Meguiar's Scratch-X that stuff takes off spray paint!

 

^^If that doesn't work, try Meguiar's marine wax. It's made for boats, and thats actually what you should use on CF.

 

That sudden downpour was a bítch. I think half of SoCal experienced car problems yesterday. Most of us have been driving around for about a year with no rain, and we don't know what to do when the sky starts falling. I opened my headlights up months ago, but yesterday I discovered that one of them was not resealed correctly and now there is water inside (and it's sunny today).

 

ok so scratch x or marine wax...can i find those both at any autozone?

 

smart wax ...the pink bottle takes of spray paint..and the orange bottle is a claybar and a wax in one.. i used it today on my car
