Default I FinallyGotAPaintChipNickOnMyHood?? Why?

I noticed the other day, I have a small tiny pics of paint missing in the middle of my hood I don't know if its bad paint, I always mentioned it cause I used to see the "crappy paint" post on here alot, but I don't know,

I've noticed that I don't stay far back from other cars/pickups when I drive on the freeway anymore, think this is my reminder nick to back off or is this an issue still not fixed from 05.

Under the car paint is grey/silverish. two on the hood, very small on the bumper

I'm gonna get some touch up paint next time I go to the dealership. It was 11 bucks. Murray's had it for 5.99 but I don't want to get the wrong color of white.

But I don't really think Its chipped like I thought it saw going to or like the people a year ago on here were talking about..

Like i said, mine is tiny, and it might just be there, because I've been worrying about it since I got the car

My 06 hood is all chipped up from little pieces of gravel NY roads are known for. The paint job is not all that great. seems very thin. I am planning on getting a OEM styleCF hood. Does anyone have recommendations?

I had that same problem with my white tC. During my last visit to the dealership for schedule maintenace, I purchase the touch up paint fo the car. They don't sell Scion touch up paint. Since we have the same colors found in Toyota and Lexus, we use the toyota/lexus touch up paint. If you have a Super White Scion this is the touch up paint you will need.

Use a toothpick with the touchup paint - the brush is ridiculous and will make a mess.

I just hav'nt had good luck with my TC, harm always seems to find it. Oh well, now I have an excusse to get a CF hood, cheaper than fixing the dent on the hood.

What color touch up paint would CSM be ?

ha.....

toothpick...........if you say so, I read the back of a spray can, it
said use in 60 degrees weather or higher..........assuming the
touch up paint is the same.........its something I'll have to
wait on and wash until its warmer, or a road trip to southern
states

You can use a blow dryer to heat it up. Thats what the tint shops do with tints, overlays, clear bras, etc. Just a suggestion.

1F7 is that SSM or CSM, because I got SSM touch up paint and it was lighter than mine.
