im looking into getting one and i was wondering how in depth is it to install this hood. also when you buy it what comes with the hood? any special mounting hardware or locking hardware, or do you use your stock equipment and you just get a hood.. thanks

I don't have the kaminari hood, but my CF hood came with everything needed, just unbolt the old one(and remove the washer fluid lines) and then bolt on the new hood

Be careful when you are buying name brand parts on ebay... More often than not, they are knock offs. My Kaminari hood came with the latch already installed, and there really isn't anything else you will need. Just unbolt your stock... and bolt the Kaminari in its place. They claim that you won't need any hood pins, so no drilling on that part.

hey.. just saw your other post

DO NOT GET THIS HOOD

it will interfere with your turbo set up, you best bet is going with the MOTOR-FX vented hood, or AIT RACING hood

sits too close to the wastegate? i like the motor fx hood better, but dont you think that would interfere also? seems to be the same setup as the kaminari one.

rofl when did i ever say I was low on cash? you need to reread my posts word for word. im far from low on cash, i just dont see the purpose in dropping money in my car that i wont be able to enjoy for 6 months since i will be gone. Notice the sentence that says unless THE MONEY KEEPS BURNING A HOLE IN MY POCKET. lol. I leave within the next few weeks, so explain the point?

when u have a hole in your pocket, you lose money

it doesn't matter if money burns the hole, or a cigerette burns a hole

try rewording your past posts

the price of the hood isnt the issue. as far as getting the hood, the answer is no. if blackonblacktc says it will interfere with my turbo kit who am i to argue, he obviously has some experience with it. i dont have any local guys that have any serious upgrades to see the hood or take measurements. so i have to go off of others advice. i can outright buy the hood, and when i saw it for 200 bucks i was gonna get it before i leave since it was a good deal, but if i cant use it theres no point.

as far as how much money it takes to burn a hole in my pants ive been sitting on a decent amount of money and ive been debating on picking up an xbox360 for deployment or doing my brakes, headlights and many other options. the choices are endless and that my friend is whats making my pockets burn. lol
