Default INSTALL: CF B-Pillar Appliques ?

Seems like a stupid question, but are these really just a wipe clean, dry off, and stick on type of thing?

I downloaded a PDF file for the official way to install these, and it talks about temperatures and heat guns and 3M Spray Cleaner and all this stuff.
http://www.trdsparks.com/install/00016-80445inst.pdf

These are fine if just installed on a clean, dry surface right? Nothing complicated.... ??

yeah.. they should come with 3M tape on the back, so just wipe off the pillars and stick them on... if you heat the tape before sticking it on, it'll hold better.

I just used one of those prep wipes, then turned the heat on in my car and heated it for a minute or two, then I stuck it on. I have had mine for 8 months now and haven't had a problem.

yup, no heat required but it may help. I just washed mine really good with all purpose windex w/o ammonia and dried it, then stuck em on and pressed the entire thing down really well. piece o cake

Thanks guys! That's what I figured.... but that PDF made it seem like you needed to get to specific temps and ____, and I was like...no way it's not that serious ??

Just wanted to make sure. If I just washed my car and dried it, it should be good to go yeah?

I don't have any windex, prep wipes, etc...

?

Yea I think you should be good, just make sure it is clean and there is not dust or dirt.

Mine have been on for 2 years and all I did was clean the area (no heat gun) and stuck them on. I have had no problems. When you wax your car, also wax the appliques. Mine still look brand new.
