hey guys i crunched the bottom of my front bumper along with the lower grille a couple days ago and the body shop has estimated it will be 675 total. so i was thinking of a cheaper way.

what do you guys think about having them order the new bumper (229) and paint it (i dont know how much that would be) then i take it home and install it with a freind. Would it be worth the time or would the install be too hard?

just so you know iv only done things like install CAI and install the tyc taillights

 

yeah the front bumper is easy to remove... i've done it quite a few times. there's only about 10 or so 10mm screws/bolts that you need to remove and 3 clips plastic clips from the top and your set. easy to do.

 

check how much the labor is first. if you feel it's too much for a 30-45 minute installation you and a friend can do, then by all means. otherwise have them install it. installing the bumper isn't that hard. you just have to be careful not to scratch the paint and have every clip and screw line up correctly. good luck.
