Default installation and paint almost the price of the part

How much did you pay for the Whole body kit installation? (front bumper, rear bumper and the sideskirts)

Im planing to get the Kaminari one, but they charging me $600 to install it, but also i need to get it paint... another $300-$400 to paint it... it is almost the price of the body kit...

That seems about rite. Infact that is not too bad at all. Just be happy that kit is a bolt on and requires no mods to your car!!

Get a compressor and a gun, buy some paint, paint it yourself!

Install it yourself.

Should cost about $200-300 for compressor + gun + paint. Money saved!

LOl well you can always get it painted instead of goin ghetto. But you could do the install yourself in an afternoon or less. Prolly depending on your experience.

depends on the quality of the body kit. I dont know about Kaminari but many fiberglass kits dont fit very well (poorly made), so bodyshops need to modify them to fit right. hence the high labor price. i've seen kits that were warped, left gaps, were too long/short, wavy, etc.

that is why some fiberglass kits (bomex, veilside, c-west) cost more because they were designed/constructed to fit perfect without modification. in general i hear alot less fitment problems about polyeurothane or abs plastic kits. if you know it'll fit well, you can install it yourself with a buddy, self tapping screws, and double sided 3M VHB tape.

Sand paper doesnt cost much. Practice on your stock pieces!

Why not test fit the body kit before you take it to the shop. If it fits right then just have them spray it and install it yourself.

if its not fiberglass.. you can do it yourself... it snaps on w/ bolts just like the stock... fiberglass theres alot of molding and what not... urethane is a dream to work with..(when you're installing by yourself and don't like complications)
