Installed the new grill!!! Updated: daytime shots
The grills look good. Im not a huge fan of the bright aluminum look, but Im definatly doing a grill exchange when I get mine. I'll be spraying mine black. The Home Depot'ed grills just look cleaner in my opinon, there is no big bulky and tacky plastic emblem on the front. Black would definatly look best. I can do some photoshops if you all want to see how they'd look.
PS: anyone with a FM and mesh grill, post those pics, cause I'd like to see how it'd look.

ok, give me a little while to play with it a bit and make it look decent, cause it's something you'd want to actually do, not just hey make it look black. but yeah, one thing im going to do is NOT buy the diamond shaped hole mesh. im tired of that grill and definatly looks like you made a trip to home depot. and if you just spray the diamond shaped mesh black, it looks the same as the RS tC grills, so you might as well just buy them cause they'd be guaranteed to work.
ok here we go. The upload to server took a while and i decided to scrap the variations cause they wern't turning out how i thought they would. and i appologize for lots of large images, but i kept the original porportions to retain the details that people need.
IMPORTANT!:
1. all who are viewing this, this is as close as i could get to how it would really turn out, if anything, they are a little lighter than how they'd actually be.
2. The gloss black will look lighter next to flat because of the specular highlights the metal and gloss give off, so when viewed from a distance the white highlights and black shadows will optically mix to create neutral greys.
Gloss Black: The gloss will retain a medium grey on flat planes, but will show its contrast when the surface has variation (like on the lower grills where the mesh isn't perfectly flat as a whole)

Flat Black: hides most flaws and gives a nice unanimous value and depth to the front of the car

after seeing the flat black on the black tc, im torn between black or flint mica. i know the black would be a pain to keep up, but man that looks good. i guess i'll have to stare at some fm again to see if it'll sway me back.

i know im late and all but...
how in the hell did you get those "grills" to fit in there?
I took off my grill to paint the grill frame (the chrome-lookin' thing) and took a look in there. I have no clue how the hell you can get it to fit in there. Did you cut out the plastic mesh inside the stock grill and replace it with the "gutter guards"? Sounds dumb but thats the only way i could imagining it to work.
