Default Installing T-Rex billet grilles tonight.

This is a placeholder for now but, this evening I'll be installing T-Rex billet front grilles both top and bottom this evening. I'll be sure to include before and after pics as well as pics of the install process.

Stay tuned. Even off the car the grilled look hot.

Is Needle going to help you? j/k

Anyways, where did you get them and how much? Also are these overlay or replacement? And how do they install?

Can't wait to see pics.

Well, this is gonna suck, I'm not going to be doing them, the lower one is not made for the factory foglights although T-Rex is in the process of making them as they're in demand.

I got them from my dealership (and returned them too upon discovery of the fog light issue.) and it was about $300 for both upper and lower.

They look sweet, they are not overlay they are replacement. The upper one is 6 bars and the lower is 10 bars.

They looked REALLY easy to installand come with instructions specific to the tC. I'd estimate 30 minutes to install both.

You can find pics of them on T-Rex's website:

http://www.trexbillet.com/index.php?...oc=101&dealer=

Although in the pic you can see the factory foglights behind them, T-rex admitted that for the pic they merely overlayed the bottom one over the stock one for the picture.

The top one you can mount the scion logo on it but, out of the box it's made to not have it so it's completey clean.

When they have the one available sized for the factory fog lights I'll be installing and taking pics.

To each their own, I like it better than the honeycomb stockers personally. But, that's just me.

I don't care for overlays personally, I'd rather have a real replacement. If it's a mod worth doing it's a mod worth right. At least in my opinion.

Just my opinion and I don't have any ill will towards someone who had a differing viewpoint but overlays are to me akin to putting a typeR sticker on your civic, all the looks but none of the goods.

And to me and my budget $300 is a decent price for well engineered grilles like these.

$300, not bad. I'm going to pick up a set of these and modify them slightly before mounting. I'm glad someone finally made a full replacement for the tC.

Thanks for the info.
