intercooler already quite dirty! any ideas how to protect it
okay well ive had my turbo setup for about say 800 miles so far.
i commute to work about 80 miles round trip, 2 or 3 times a week. i car pool.
i noticed today my intercooler is already dirty, quite dirty, and i have little pebbles stuck in some of the vanes.
im not too pleased with that. at this rate my intercooler will be killed by road rocks in a matter of months.
anyway, i have the VRD top and bottom grills on my car so, that already gives it some kind of protection from road debris.
i was thinking of putting black screen material behind the bottom VRD grill to keep all debris out.
i dont know if ill look like garbage though, or if itll be un-noticeable. i also dont want to restrict air flow, so that was the only thing i could think of.
good idea? or no?
any suggestions?
thanks
nick
