Anyone here have some JDM lowering springs on their tC? I'm looking into springs, and am wondering if JDM's are pretty good, if not, what are other suggestions?

(PS, I don't really think this was covered, I DID do a search...)

If it says JDM, don't buy it for the tC... Since the tC is USDM exclusively... anything "JDM" for the tC is most likely fake or a ripoff.

I didnt even know there were "JDM" springs. If you want a decent drop and dont want to worry much about scraping, go with the TRD springs, but if youre not worried about scraping, go for a larger drop.

 

There are thousands of threads about which springs are best, you should run a search for them. You'll learn tons.

 

Eibach Pro-Kit!!,,I have them...Awesome...its lil lower than TRD springs...Ride like a feather...and the performance is Magical...Yup!...really it is!..so Eibach Pro-Kit....

 

do they sell JDM air for your tires also?

 

i think she saw them on Ebay... It doesnt hurt to ask. Better to ask then to not. At least now she knows.. But yeah, TRDs or Hotchkis would be my pick.

 

Just remember. Nothing is "JDM" when it comes to the tC.

The tC is a USDM ONLY car.

 

Living where we do, I don't think it would be a good idea to go any lower than TRD with the potholes and all. But that's up to you.

they were formally known as the fake tein.. so now they renamed it to "JDM".. don't ever lowball on your suspension. i've been there.. done it.. and glad im still alive.

but seriously? just spend >$150 on some decent namebrand springs and stay worry free. I could (almost) understand if Tein springs were ungodly expensive, but theyre not.

 

just because its a japanese company or even made in Japan doesnt necessarily mean its JDM.

 

I wanted to thank everyone for their reply. Yes, I saw the ad on eBay and was just curious. I think I'm going to buy the TRD springs and the front and rear Hotchkis sway bar set for $375 off of McGeorge.
