Default Jlevi vs. Anzo Projectors

Ive been serching and I cant seem to decide which is a better purchase. Everybody has their own opinions but it makes it confusing for reserch.

If you own either sets, please reply with your personal pros and cons of either set.

Thanks

I own neither, but it's probably a matter of what YOU think looks better.
Both have problems, both are called ' rice' by haters.

Figure out which you think looks better and which is more in your budget.

Anzo's dont take HID's I know that so if you are looking to go HID dont go ANZO.

i have owned both sets. the first set that i owned were jlevis, the low and high beams were the same bulbs. the halos are very dim with the jlevis so if you want bright halos go for anzos. when anzos came out i sold my jlevis and bought anzos. another thing is on the eyelid of jlevis it had a cut out rectangle but as you know for the anzos there are those led dots. i didnt like the jlevi eyelids but neither the anzos until a week later the leds started to die and flicker which indicated for me to get eyelid overlays. overall anzo seems the have brighter output because of a bigger bulb (h7 as opposed to h1) but both have horrible cutoffs for some reason. (most likely cheap quality). but if you are tired of stock headlights you could get these but if you want a good cutoff i recommend you retrofit.

I would retrofit but im not very good at fabrication. From what I understand from reading on this site, its not all that easy, esp. If you dont know what your doing... I would love to get the umnitza projectors but i cant wait, a family member backed into my car and crushed my drivers side headlight so now im in a hurry to get some projectors. thanks for your feed back

Go for what you like and what you can afford. If money is not a problem for you, get the Anzos.

Man - I put down the $20 for Umnitzas YEARS ago. I used to check the thread every day. Now i check in every couple weeks... it's really too bad that Umnitza never lived up to the promises they made around here. I'd still love to have those projectors.

How much are you guys planning to pay for umnitza headlights any way? it seems that everyone expressed great interest in their "up coming" production, but no one really mentioned the price. If they're producing headlights with price range of 200 - 400, don't expect more output quality than the Anzo's and the rest. If you want HID projectors, costs will be 600+, and I am aiming low with the cost of labor and the "know how" engineering. I recommend doing retrofit, it is now that difficult. All it takes is guts and patient.

X2 that. There is no better feeling than a well done job. Not to mention, since you customize your own mod, you'll have something that nobody else have.

i think people were expecting something in the 300-500 range from Umnitza because that's the amount of money he said they'd probably be. Plus people were expecting a discount since they pitched in early. I don't think it's the case that you can't get a higher quality for that price - doing a one-off retrofit is wildly more expensive then mass producing something, regardless of the quality. I don't think Umnitza is going to come through, but that has nothing to do with how possible it would be to do so.

i have the jlevis.....it can fog up if you take it to the wash and dont check if the rubber covers are in properly, otherwise it holds up just fine....the cutoff is very cheap, however it is modeled after the stock headlight pattern if you compare them its very similar...the halos are not so bright but definitely visible at night...and i got silverstars to put into my low beams and they look like hid for real, on a stock housing silverstars are whiter but eh....it looks crazy on the projectors......the positive things are that it can support hids, all the bulbs (even the angel eyes) are accesible without having to bake the headlight open, easy to install, looks great, and they are not expensive

That's exactly the kind of thing I'm looking to avoid - I don't care if my halos are dim, but the factory headlights can go through a carwash without fogging up and nobody comments on the cutoff being cheap. I want a projector housing without any of those problems either. If Umnitza can get their crap together, that would be great. Otherwise I'll keep waiting until someone who wants my $400 or $500 can build something worth the money.

I decided to go with the Anzos. I bought them last night from North American Motorsports. Total price was 234.98 Shipped. From what I understand the produce more light output onto the road, which is my main concern, next is the styling. These holos are brighter then the jlevis. The only draw back IMO are the LEDs in the eyebrow. Thanks for your guys input on my purchase. Ill let you know how they work out next thursday when I recive them! Now I gotta go back and filter through the SERCH button and figuare out how to braze the holo wires to the parking lights.. .
