there was a guy on here, i forget who, who had the hyperblack ones, and they did look good.

 

Those are the VRD grills or style at least! Thats what i paid for mine give or take a few bucks. I got mine from Parts domain as well as my VRD fogs. I love mine i think they look ten times better than the metal ones. My bottom grill has only popped out when i was driving in deep snow, hit a cone auto-xing and when i was scrubbing the heck out of the front bumper with one of those foam brushes at the car washes. i had major bug splatter on the bumper so i was scrubbing hard.

 

Might be my next mod and sell this grill.

dqlostsoulz, what was the install like on the JD grills? Direct replacement or drilling required?

 

why are you rethinking these grilles? Is it the quality, fitment? Or is is it just because you like the VRD ones so much now?

You have to drill small hole on the tabs that hold the oem grill in place, but its nothing big and if you wanted to put back you oem grill it will cover the hole just fine.
