Just got my Fig grill but have a ?
So i got my Fig grill for christmas. Top and bottom painted flat black with a flat black tc emblem. Looks awesome.
I really don't want to drill holes in my bumper. Is there a way i wont have to and just use the zip ties?

whys everyone so against it, they look way better than vrd grilles. just drill a hole about 1/8" on 4 tabs on the top and bottom and 1 on each end, and zip tie them in, i trust the zip tie over a clip, especially after all the VRD grille bashing that's been going on about them popping out. instillation took me and my dad about 30 minutes

06 on an 08. chrome ring compliments the crome rings on the projectors very nicely.
vrd's are too expensive for me, but i wouldn't rock a fig grill if it was given to me for free. i'd take it back to home depot and trade for a sheet of mdf.

Aww dont bash on the FIG grill. IMO it looks better than the VRD grill. It just involves drilling, which is cake to do if you have a 90 degree drill. More labor, but better look imo.

^^^ agreed. If you're afraid of putting a couple of unseen, miniature-sized holes discreetly in your bumper, then you are probably in the wrong scene. Imagine the work required to put big, tasty intercoolers on the front of your car. That requires fabrication and/or cutting that doesn't look stock, or 'fit into the stock clips.' --- But you have a big ol' intercooler and that looks awesome now, doesn't it!

plus, with all the vrd's popping out, i wouldnt trust them, that company is just going down the drain. but if you insist on the vrd look, go on ebay, all of vrd's products are replicated for around a hundred bucks

I had the VRD's for over a year, and I never had one pop out. Just like any product, when thousands are produced and purchased, there's a chance that one might not fit someone's car like it would another person's. I'd be willing to bet the problem with with the car (broken tabs) and not the grill.

Why is there so much bashing? Everybody has their own preferences. I bought the Fig grill because I liked the look better than VRD. I still think VRD makes nice grills though. Just let people buy what they like. I love my Fig grill and wouldnt trade for a VRD just because it isnt the look im going for.
