i know some people from cal poly and walnut...used to go there quite often. what year are you???

just to chill with the homies. i grew up in torrance so ima be chillin there at a homies house. im comin next week and for good after school is done. sorry to hear about your moms. i got accepted to UCI but chose UCR so i could live with my friends, turned out to be a mistake, i shoulda went to UCI, i porbably would still be in cali right now, but whatever.
how long did it take you to install the your kit? took me about 3.5 hours for everything by myself.
once i put on the kit, the car looked terrible with stock wheels. the kit makes the car seem more flared, making the wheels looks more sunk in (except for the profile view).

I was really nervous about the drilling, but it actually went really quick and easy. There are marks for the slots molded into the plastic on the insides of the bumpers.
With the bumper off, you just take your 1/4 inch drill bit and drill the ends of the slots. The soft material of the bumper makes it pretty easy. I had my buddy hold the bumper up at the right angle so the i had my work surface right under the slot for support.
The directions tell you to then remount the bumpers, tape some guides on the outside, and router out the slots with a 1/8 bit. Well we did that but the plastic kept clogging up the bit on my dremel, and then the dremel battery ran out. So we decided we would bust out the sabre/jig saw. That worked awesome; much better than the dremel. We just had to put on more tape to protect the paint from the base plate on the saw. Then I cleaned up the slots with the dremel.
We didn't even mess anything up! All the slots came out perfect. I would just recommend when cutting the slots, to err on the too small side... you can always enlarge them if you need to.
Also, if I had to do it over, I wouldn't mount the bumpers back on the car until the lips are all totally mounted. You'll be sure you don't cut anything inside the bumpers with the saw, and it's so much easier to get the tabs through and clipped when you have good open access to the inside of the bumper.
