Default KAMINARI BODY KIT on 06 tC Azure Pearl (Completed.MORE PICS)

Well I finally did it. Got myself a bodykit. Went with the Kaminari Urethane kit. When I was sick and down on the dumps and in bed, I impulsed bought and ended up with this. I just picked it up tonight from having the kit painted and installed it myself to save about $1000. I didnt put the side skirts on because it started to rain. It matches perfect but has 2 runs of the clear coat. I am going to take it in and see if they will bugg it out. Doesnt look bad at all.

The car is extremely dirty. Will look much better washed.
What do you think?

Kinda worry about that tailpipe a bit... looks nice though. In the last pic ... does it look like the color is off or is that just hte lighting?

and yes, i think the paint is a bit lighter than stock.

My bumper is the absolute opposite, it's slightly darker than stock.

Nice, the exhaust worries me. The Tsudo Catback was designed for a Kaminari rear bumper just FYI.

you know I have the exact same issues on my kit. The paint matchs in some angles and dont in others, I have had my kit painted 2 twice with the sides 3 times now. Everyone says I am being over **** about it. I wont post pics cause I dont like it.. LOL
I like the way it looks on there. nice choice of kit though.

it looks pretty good....but ack i think ur right the color does seem a little bit off 2 me. it looks a bit lighter than the actual color but darn close.

and yes ur back bumber might start to burn after awhile with the exhaust...u should try to get it to come out straight of the car

It might be SLIGTLY different but I think its becsue my car is so dirty. I noticed in pics it looks off, but in person everyone thinks its exact. I had it painted at the toyota dealers paint place with azure pearl.

I am very worried about the exhaust as well. I hate to go back to stock, but I also dont want to burn the bumper. It is so close. I should just change it, but I love the HKS exhaust.

Glad everyone likes it. I need to do the side skirts.
I didnt have time yesterday. I put them on just to see and the fitment doesnt look the best. I am sure they go over the stock ones, but I could be wrong. Are the replacements or fit overs?

well, the right rear, I need to fix one of the tabs. It wont stay pushed in and locked in. I am going to pull it off and double side tape it. Other than that, and cutting for the exhaust, there were zero modifications.

I did have the entire plastic underneath my car rip off. I didnt really realize that it wasnt supported anymore and on the way to work it was dragging. I stopped and taped it up but it came lose. I got to work and it was so messed up I cut the bad parts off with tin snips. Then at lunch the rest bent down, caught uner the tire and ripped off. The whole plastic wheel well is gone. So i took the rest off and will take the other side off.

I looked under and there is nothing to get damaged, but dirt and grime will collect. But I wash my car twice a week so I am not TOO worried. Anyone have Ideas?

the problem ive noticed with matching the scion paint is that they toyota paint adds an extra metaillic flake that they dont mention in their fomula , probibly so you have to shell out extra money to buy a toyot paint kit

Im hoping its better once I wash it. Its really not noticable in person, so hopefully its just the pics.

My goody bag was missing so I am still waiting on the Kaminari emblems and the bolts to hold the side skirts. But I bolt my own bolts and will do it one of these days.
