When I had my kit, I had that splash guard thing bolted to the kit for I didnt want to get crap under my engine like salt, debris and what not.

As for the drop question, I have h&r springs and I must say, I didnt scrape that much as well. I'd say go with trds or h&rs.

hey im a new authentic kaminari kit owner, just oredered it a couple of days ago.
my question is does it requrie any cutting, drilling,fitment before install?

I wouldnt suggest it. If you get a bad copy of the kit and u spend 400 a bumper to paint it. Your not gonna be happy .

 

definitely test fit it first. doesnt take much time and could end up saving you lots of time and $$ in the end

yeah our body shop at the toyota dealer i work at is charging me $740 for paint and $36 per hour for 5 or 6 hours of labor, so about $1000. Im getting the kaminari kit and the kami cf hood and cf adj spoiler clear coated to protect tha carbon fiber a lil longer. but i love the kit my pocket will feel a little light for a little bit until people start buying more cars lol. The kit was $2,300 including cf hood and cf spoiler, Winter sales suck even if i have 19 cars out so far this month.

That's going to be my 2nd phase next year! I saw a blue widebody at the alpha squad show in Pasadena and fell in love! Anybody know which one i'm talking about and if he/she has a SL screen name? It was the one they were trying to pull the broken spark plug out of.

 

my kami kit needs trimming i just got the front bumper on yesterday and the front is a bit uneven along the hood and the edges where the bumper meets the fenders could be sanded down a bit

 

is it real kaminari?

 

I only paid $1000 for the kit and I did the work myself hehe :D

Personally I dont think Id ever charge $1000 to paint and put the kit on. Id probably do 800. I usually charge avg 3 - 350 to paint a bumper and 100 a side - 150.

 

How long does it take to get the kaminari kit in from that day you order and pay for it?

 

I got mine after a month. They said when they injected the mold for the front bumper there was a few holes so it took another week to make a new bumper.
