Default Kaminari vs MotorFX CF vented hood (or oem style?)

well.. i didnt hear any bad things about the kaminari... i hope they are really good.. no fading, yellow, cracking stuff......

but the kaminari hood is just EXPENSIVE.......... $900 and up shipped.....

the only other hood what i like is the MotorFX (double?) vented hood.. which is almost looks like the kami hood.. but it is cheaper ( i could save like $200 maybe?)

some says they love it.. some says its a piece of crap.... so what is the truth?????????

or i should just go with a seibon oem style????????????

i dont have kaminari bodykit.. right now im stock ( exterior) but i will get ground effect lip kit)

is it EZ to make the holes for the windshield washers?? i mean.. can i crack the hood or anything?

pool added so pls vote then tell me your opinion!! thanx!!!

oh btw i want to get the cf hood in march ( my BD)

if you really want the kaminari hood in c/f get it

showstoppersusa.com has it for $805.00 shipped.

i got my fiberglass kami hood from them for $535 shipped.. so think about it

btw 805 shipped is GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

well it rains here in new mexico sometimes lol, it snows aswell, in fact it has rained for 3 days.

my engine is clean, i park outside in the open and my engine bay doesnt get dirty.

if you have seen the kami scoop you will see it doesnt dump into the grill it has a, for the lack of a better term-a waiting pool ...lol.

the only time my engine bay gets wet is when i wash my car, and i always open my hood and dry it top and bottom a long with what ever gets wet on the engine.

my engine is spotless and can be eaten off of.

with that said, just buy it!. youll be happy you did. i want it in c/f aswell, but i need a wheel and tire package more than a new hood.

and about drilling the holes for squirters, i had my body shop do it, they used a dremel.

oh and one more thing, i called my order in instead of online buying, maybe you could request pre-rilled.

Have you looked at the BMagic CF hood or the Seibon VSII cf hood?

^^Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I do NOT reccommend the B Magic hood/AIT Racing N1 hood. I have it and regret buying it.

If you live somewhere where it's gonna rain, the rain gaurd works like crap. They screws they give you don't even work and get like all stripped and crap. It's REALLY cheap. All the water will go onto your engine due to where the "vent" is. I had to epoxy mine on and let's just face it. That mesh that comes with it looks like GARBAGE. I took it off.

Plus like... the underside of my CF hood is cracking due to the heat of the engine. STAY AWAY from AIT Racing N1/B Magic.

Yeah, I was in your shoes a long time ago and didn't want to spend though dough on the Kaminari. Now I look back and get ill at how stupid I was. If I could do it again, without hesitation I would go for the Kaminari.

i dont like that seibon.. i seen all the cf hoods.. i know they like the seibon oem style... but i like the kaminari ot motorfx double vented or what.. but i herd some crap about the motorfx.. so its kaminari or seibon oem style..........

a good thing about cf hood: i dont need to paint it..........

i want rear bumper.. front lip blahblablah.. whatever else i want i have to buy it and pay almost the same amount to get it painted

i just bought 2 side skirts ( ground effect) it was 130 shipped... for the 2!!! and the first guy wanted to charge me 300 to paint it........ the other guy charged me 200...

Go OEM style and you won't have to worry about rain. $800 for a hood is way too much IMO, no matter how great the quality.

im pretty sure kaminari fits better and has better finish..

if you do that it's gonna be off cause the rear will be lower than the front and sides.

I think the 5Axis kit is too subtle for an aggressive hood like one from Kami. Im sure lots of people might think it looks good, i personally think it looks odd. Like a stock tC with the Kami wing.

hahh.. i dont even have my gorund effect kit but the rear is higher than my front.. if im gonna get the ground effect front and side.. the kaminari is gonna be just good.. kami rear is not the lowest bumper.
