Default Kreative Import Technology Widebody Kit In Stock

We recieved a shipment of 40 kits yesterday and are now shipping pre orders. For those that have not yet seen this kit it can be seen here.

http://www.kreativeimport.com/kreati...lications.html

Our new site is up and running with the exception of the shopping cart. We should be fully functional online on 1/25/05

Kreative Import Technology Obsidian Series Widebody Kit

Here are images of the build of our SEMA project.
http://www.kreativeimport.com/project_tc.htm

This kit is designed to allow a larger wheel/tire combo as well as the ability to push the wheels out to give that aggressive widebody stance. Installation of this kit involves trimming the sheet metal in the wheel wells and the flares and skirts are designed to be molded to the vehicle for a clean oem appearance when complete. The kit is manufactured in high quality fiberglass with gold gel coat finish. On our car we ran 20x7" wheels with a 2.25" spacer in the back and a 2" spacer in the front. We only ran spacers b/c we did not have enough time for the 3 piece wheels to be made.

We have just sponsored a kit to a customer in FL who is building a tC for Scion and it will feature 3 piece 20" wheels with no spacers.

In addition to the new body kit we expect a shipment of our new carbon fiber tC accessories very soon and I will be posting pricing on those items early next week. We also have more tC products in development that we'll be sharing very soon including more body kits.

Any questions or comments I'd be happy to answer.

Thanks,

Hey Lundy and Craig,

Great news that you guys got the kit in stock. We have been waiting anxiously for the kit to arrive and once it gets to Florida things will be rolling full steam ahead. I ordered my wheels this week from HRE and they will be done in a couple weeks. I ended up going with a 19x10.5” in the front and a 19x11” in the rear. We are running a set of Falken 245/40/19’s in the front and a set of 275/30/19’s in the rear. The car will be sitting on the ground via a set of Progress coil-overs. Those are also on the way to Florida and should arrive around the same time as the wide body kit.

I will keep you posted with build-up pics ones the kit arrives and I just wanted to tell you guys thanks again for building a sweet wide body kit for the tC!

Till then,
Neil T.

poly would not be strong enough for the wide flares. The kit is fine in glass, and fits together nice

Yeah you don't want a widebody kit in urethane. Urethane is a great product for bolt on parts but not for molding to the vehicle. Fiberglass is great for widebody cars and the flares are very strong. The way that this kit is designed you trim the oem sheet metal and then space the wheels out to the desired look or have 3 piece wheels made that get you the right dimensions.

On our sema car b/c we had such a time crunch we ordered a set of wheels that were 20x7 and then installed them and took measurements and had the spacers machined to those measurements.

This kit will require a week of body work to get everything molded in but the finished look is great. You really get that Euro Touring car look and definately stand apart from a bolt on kit.

I'm more than happy to answer any questions.

i was wondering how much would you guess the bodywork would cost for this kit?

kit
bodywork
paint?

anyone with an educated estimate would be appreciated

It really depends on what all you have done. a minimal install would be molded flares and sideskirts and should be in the range of $1,000-$1,500 plus the paint and materials.

In most cases when I did installations and custom body work I'd say a complete molded job and repaint the car would be in the range of $3,500-$4,000

you also don't have to mold in the anthing have it bolted in. that would save money on the bodywork

the flares and skirts should be molded. No way to bolt them on and have a clean look especially with the wheel well modification to space the wheels out.

I don't have pics of the audio yet but will very soon. The car should be all finished including the turbo kit by 2/25 as we are doing a show that weekend.

We just had it out today at Import Motion but the inside is still all apart and needs finished. As soon as it gets back from the turbo shop I'll be finishing the car and going over the fine details.

I'll shoot some pics of the carbon amprack and sub box tomorrow though it just is not wired yet.

here are pics from todays show

I live in Cali, but the tC is being built in Miami.

It will be done in about 4 weeks and then it heads up to NY for the Auto show and then heads out on tour!

Why you ask?
