well guys i appreciate ur quick responses. I installed today and it went relatively smoothly, thanks again for the info. Pic's coming soon on this thread so stay posted. ohhhhhh and thanks to magyver his work is freakin awesome
I know this is dumb, but do you know what LEDs are used in Traffic light signals? Do you think we could use it for foggys??? It's freakin' bright!!! The white LEDs used on the "WALKING MAN" signal for pedestrians would do the trick!!!

the leds are bright when you look at them... that's why they can be used in taillights fine and have been for quite some time.
however... as far as leds throwing out light.. that's where the issue is.... you haven't really seen LED headlights out yet have you? yea.... that's why.
even the Luxeon's crazy wattage have so far only been used in applications in a headlight for a BMW from what i know... and even so.. it's mainly for visibility purposes for OTHER drivers... using them as DRLs.

yeah, led's themselves dont throw much light. but its all in the lense is where you get ouput. i have a 4 led flash light, and it will focus a pattern of a circle of about 2' at 12' away. and its is bright. but in order to drive by that, youd be looking at at least 100 of them. aimed at all differnt levels.. and that would still only be a DRL application.. its more for the HID look w/out going to the ricer bulbs. for people that want to fill voids or DRL's... nothing usable..

yeah i dont think LED's are going to give much usable light output if any at all. I like it becuase it looks good! The reaction i got at a meet yesterday was great everybody like it, and i love it!! THANKS again magyver pics coming soon!
I'll post my pics, I just did them today. Took me about 4 hours to finish the whole project.
Took quick pics in a tight garage so the pics are kind of crappy. I'll get better ones tomorrow night.
