Default LED Tail Light Help

REcently Purchased a pair of Anzo LED tails from ebay. I seen a few other people that had them.

I installed them, and couldn't take my car out of park, nor were my brake lights working.

I took my car to Scion, the said their was backfeed from the Tails, so i need to install my factory ones.

Anyone expreience this?

If you couldn't take the car out of park, how did you get it to the dealer?

Oh. Well, the backfeed is not normal. Have you contacted the seller to see if they can send you another pair?

I did contact the seller, at about 7am, still waiting for a reply.

the lights look pretty sick, but its normal with me, every car i owned was hit (including th tc) 4 months after i bought, some jerkoff hit me in while i wa at work, but came and got me.

I work on my own car and know what im doin,

I know the backfeed isnt normal, hopefully it was just with these pair.

Maybe ill by the Factory LED ones and just tint them out.

And i know everythign is connected right and what not. But who knows

Yes i did, everything was fine.

Toyota guy told me, that the 07 has a problem with Aftermarket LED Taillights, He was getting all engine code feedbacks and what not.

I think imma just say hell with it, they put the old ones on and im just going to tint them.

My next thing is RIMs. Thats it.

Anzo's arn't compatible with 07's??? I was really liking those lights too. Good thing I read this, I was seriously about to order them. lol Are there any tails that are reported to work with 07's? (besides TYC of course)

Yea the LED style that they have are the only ones that i like. The TYC ones from Scion are 380, which is totally ludicrous.

its all still power and ground. could always test them on a drill battery to see if they work. otherwise, put some load resitors in..

they can work fine, the have to be wired the same. could be a simple issue w/ the tails themselves or a computer problem not seeing enough resistance.. but i would light them up w/ a batter or some thing and try them that way

Its not an 07 issue my 06 does the same thing. Whenever the TC's ecu or whatever detects the brake lights not working it locks the shifter as a safety precaution. My guess is that you installed the tail lights without disconnecting the negative battery terminal, so the ecu still thinks that the tail ights are not working properly.

I did the same thing and had the same problem, easy fix is disconnecting the battery for about 10 mins so that it is reset. However you will lose any radio presets in the process, but thats how i fixed mine.

So should I go ahead and buy the Anzo tails for my 07'? I'm not too thrilled about having to take the bumper off to install them tho.

Yeah, I was going to mention what magyver said
its all still power and ground. could always test them on a drill battery to see if they work. otherwise, put some load resitors in..
But last time I did that, the people got really confused so I just said screw it.
I think the lights will work. You just have to connect them properly.

Oh, and to put an avatar up, you have to go to your "profile" page and upload it (located at the bottom). If you are having trouble logging into your profile (you click it and it logs you out), try to delete the temporary internet files and cookies (under "Internet Options") and try again.

It's fairly easy to do. I installed my TYC's this last weekend and it took about a half hour. Once you get over the sound of pulling the bumper off from the sides it's fine.
