Default LED Tail Lights

Hey all

i took this pic from another member of SL hehe. question is, does anyone know if these have a slot for the blinker or if it's the LED, does it blink correctly?

my buddy with an accord said the TYC LEDs don't blink correctly.

just verifying before i buy them. thanks for any help.

the blinker is in with the brake LEDs and they blink like an LED... what does your friend with an accord have to do with anything? the TYC tails for the tC have a bulb for the turn signal..

As stated, a bulb is used for the TYC blinkers on the tC. If you replace it with a LED, you need to also install
a resisitor. That way you won't have 'hyperbilnk' and pis$ people off who drive behind you.

oh he was just saying i should make sure i will still have my blinker as a safety reason. when he said TYC, he was referring to the other after market tail lights by TYC not the one from Toyota. sorry his accord was of no relevance lol.

cool thanks guys, i just wanted to make sure those tail lights will work like normal.

If your referring to the pic, those are anzo leds and yes they work correctly. there is no bulb for the anzo, unlike the tyc. there is a separate section on the anzos for the blinker and brake light. no modifying needed. all plug in play. and they have to have blinkers to be dot approved

does anyone have any issues with the LEDS on these lights wearing out or breaking prematurely? (less than 6 months?)

if it blinks faster then normal you just gotta throw in some resistors and youll be fine.
sometime the car is fooled because LED's to not draw as much power as the stock bulbs so the car thinks that a bulb is out when it really isnt.
a simple resistor will fix all that.

hmmm.
are you sure?
i dont think u need a ballast unless youve got HID's
seems to me like it would be a resistor just in a box to make it look fancy.

this of it this way, the LEDs all need resistors, and that box pretty much houses like a lot of resistors for each of the individual LEDs, Sure it can be like a ballast ( it just regulates the amount of power/amp going in and out of the tail lights) so yea as stated earlier how many times ago, resistors are needed for the LEDs to function right,

that box is just a fancy way of keeping all the resistors together

I have had these lights on my '06 for almost 3 years and no problems at all. However, some people have had problems installing these on 07s or later because of the wiring. You might have to flip the connectors around and keep checking your fuses to make sure they aren't blown....good luck and keep us posted if you run into any problems.
