figured this thread is the best place to ask. What have some of you done about inner fenders? Im not removing mine... I want to keep them in. However, I now have 17x8 and 235/40/17 and Im constantly rubbing the inner fenders. Ive thought about cutting them before and after the tire so the top is open. Im not sure what else could be done?

 

i want to look into winter tires/wheels whats the smallest rim/biggest tire i can run under tein stechs?

 

kevin, you should just take them out. you can cut them just be careful. running partial fender liners isnt the greatest idea. if you cut the wrong spot the liner wont be attached in enough places and might fall off. (this happened to me on the highway, it wrapped around my ____ing axle)

Murphy, i know you can run 16's and i think maybe 15's. i think TCpete had 15's but im not positive so you might wanna check with him on that. However many inches you drop in rim size, just make up in tire size. I would go larger than OEM specs, s-techs are kinda low and in the winter ice and snow tend to build up in our wheel wells.

 

kevin: if you really don't want to take them out, you've gotta run smaller tires or something then.. maybe 235/35/18 tires.. if you keep this up, they're going to ____ up your fenders big time when they rip off..

(they virtually pull the fender in the direction they are being pulled which ultimately gives you a big pain in the buttocks.)

im kinda getting sick of the grids, after shinjitai (sp?) got em and posted em, everyone and their mother ran out and got a set.

dont get me wrong, they look good and theyre aggressive if done right, i just like originality, i wanna start seeing people running wheel/tire setups that havent been done before...preferably not rotas either.

 

That would be a sticker, I had the same thing sticking out when i got my new tires put on.

 

^^ yeah it's a sticker the tires are new I just got 225/35s for the back also and threw in a 8 mil spacer

 

yeah they're gettin messed up sometimes the fender scratces my wheel when I go up driveways and stuff
