Better than my fully aired Air Runner. Best part is, I can do oil changes without using a jack.

I decided to drive the tC to work today.

whats your long term plans with the car?
i know a guy who had a crazy modded (like yours) 2nd gen Eclipse, when the car first came out. Once the 3rd gen came out, all the sponsorships ended, press attention went away, and show awards dwindled. Nobody wanted to buy the car for the price he wanted (given the parts and custom work). He ended up parting everything he could and sold the car for cheap. By the time he sold the car, it looked like a stock car (stock: wheels, height, exhaust, lights, etc) but with a custom body kit and paint job.

I do have a certain degree of paranoia when driving the car simply because people drive like retards to try & figure out what it is, or to check it out. Then I have to be paranoid about a bag blowing out, or a tire popping since I should be running 335s & I'm running 315s (stretched a full inch, not by choice, 315 is the biggest size Toyo carries), thennnnnnnnnn I have to be concerned about cops, thennnnnnnnnn I have to worry about my supercharger crapping out since I've had a bearing go out once & a mount breaking & pulling the shaft outta the housing.

All in all, I still enjoy driving the car.

Long term plans with the car? To be honest, I haven't thought about it fully yet. I've debated selling the car multiple times to pay off the xB to then get rid of the xB & either get an Evo X or 135i. Sponsorships ending shouldn't make a difference since you should be able to keep the parts from the sponsorships given that you fulfill the contract. In the event that there's a breach of contract (i.e. not representing the company in the correct manner stated in the contract, not putting the company logo on the car, etc) the sponsorer can take away the part or ask you to pay retail for it. In my case, the only parts I've ever gotten for free on my car are my audio equipment (not enclosure, I paid a damn hell of a lot for the enclosure, haha), my killerglass parts, & my tires. Everything else, I paid for, discounted, but paid for none-the-less.Technically, I only have 4 sponsors for 2009 but I haven't nor will I have to give back any parts from any 2008 sponsorships. As for show awards, I don't care about them really, I do shows to have fun & if I win, cool, if I don't, whatever. Out here, it came to the point that people started disliking me when I showed up to shows & purposely didn't place me based on personal actions. So now, if I go to support a team that I'm friends with, I don't even take the tC, I go just to hang out with friends in my xB. The only trophies I have that REALLY matter to me are the higher caliber shows such as HIN. Local show trophies are whatever to me. When it comes down to it, I'll probably do what your friend did; part out what I can & sell it for whatever I get for it. Even if I were to sell it right now in it's current state, I wouldn't expect to get a penny over $25k. Modified cars (aside from classics) are never an investment, & I didn't build my car to make it one. I built the car to become a marketing vehicle, to compete in shows, obtain magazine features, & quite frankly, for the wow factor. I love driving it, & it's still built in a way that I can drive it contrary to popular belief. It's been driven to Vegas and back twice with 0 issues (funny thing is, the one time the car was trailered something rolled back onto it & scratched it & the supercharger went to hell for the 30 seconds I did drive it. I think it was a sign, the tC got ____ed at me for being put on a trailer).

I seriously just rambled about stuff you didn't even ask about, haha. Sorry. =X

haha dang Tina, that was one hell of a paragraph =P

On a side note, when you're lifted all the way up, it looks like your only on rims w/ no tires because of the stretched tires =P

Damn low-pros, lol. They're 25 series. It sucks, when I drive over railroad tracks or hit the little orange reflector things on the freeway I hear "clank clank clank" cuz my damn lips are hitting them. I swear, in some sections in Pasadena the lanes are super narrow & I literally only have like 2 inches of side-by-side clearance in the lanes. I'm a little too wide for that section of the highway.

hey iheartzombies, when you go over bumps and uneven pavement, does your rear coilovers make a slight "bump" sound? it sounds like rumbling or something like that. just curious hehe
