hey guys I have an 05 tc and im wanting to replace the rear hatch scion emblem w/ a lexus emblem, anyone know which one will fit in the spot where the oem sits. everyone that has a tc knows its not a simple peel and stick for the new one because the hatch molds around it giving you a certain space to work with. any help would be nice, if no one knows a toyota badge would work as well im just trying to ditch the brushed alum. look and get chrome.

Why? It's not going to make it a Lexus. Just have your stock emblem chromed if it bothers you that much.

 

I would only get a Lexus emblem for my car if my car is a Lexus.

I strongly suggest you de-badge your tc. Then everyone will ask you what it is or assume its something exotic. Chicks like exotic cars. My buddy has a Tiburon...Took off the badges. Some blonde told him he had a real nice Maserati. Let the girls assume its something real sweet. Instead of tricking them into thinking its ONE thing.

i dont really want anyone to assume anything, i personally just prefer the look of the other toyota family emblems, had i thought everyone would cry about it i wouldnt have even asked...i would just debadge it if it wasnt for the hatch being molded around the badge and the holes for the pins, so if someone sells a color-matched plug for it by all mean send me the link. by the way spread the hate guys, at the scion show here a few weeks back there were about a million xb's w/ bb emblems, xa's w/ toyota emblems and a tc w/ a deceptacon badge which im sure the guy above w/ it for his pic most likely has too so i have a question does that mean you think your car is a f*cking transformer, because it isnt.

 

xB's with a bB badge is ok. Its still the same car. xA/ist are the same car. No toyota version of the tC though. Definitely no Lexus version of a tC. As far as the transformers badge, thats just personal styling. Its not re-branding its just adding your own personal style to the car. Transformers isnt a car manufacturer. Putting a toyota badge or lexus badge on the tC is re-branding though since there is no tC like car in the toyota or lexus line.

Right forgot about that one. Thats not really like the tC though. The front does look a bit similar and it is based off of the Avensis chassis but its not like the Ist/bB. Its really a completely different car.

 

Exactly, i was over in England, and when i saw it, i was like, ummmm, this cant be related to the tC, and it turns out it is just the chassis, i just failed to realize that at the time

 

yeah i know about the avenis i read about it having the same chasis somewhere, but obviously anyone that's ever popped the hood on a tc knows it already has a toyota emblem on the car, it's right there on the engine cover, it's not like i want to fool anyone into thinking i have a $50,000+ luxury car, i just dont like the way the scion emblems on the outside of the car look, if the ones on the outside were as clean as the one on the steering wheel i'd just leave it alone, or like i said it wasnt plugged and molded into the car i'd just take it off. so to me it's the same as the transformer and bb thing, i dont actually assume those people think they're car turns into a 50ft robot or their boxes are the real jdm version, it's just something different. just ____es me off when people hate o things for no reason when all i did was aska question, i've only had three cars in my life and the other two were a toyota and an old ___ lexus, and to me they've all been toyotas, not like i want to put ford emblems on my car or anything...

 

keep the scion badge or just roll with no badges.
even the whole honda acura thing is quite played out as of late..
it would suck for something "cool" and new to start...
but al in all do what you want .
