I want to install blue license plate lights. i know that they are 168 but which one of these are exactly what im looking for?...

Go with white, it'll give it a xenon like look...kind of like the Lexus lp lights. Blue might get you pulled over by cops.

i had those and they were more blue than white.

 

i'd get the 5 ones... it's cheaper.. radially mounted.. and has the same brightness as the 6.

 

what i really want is the NEW Lexus's license plate lights! If yall've seen those, they are nice!!!!!!!!!!

 

so go with the 6 or 5? and FLEA..they really give off they much blue color? it looks really good

 

I have the 6 ones now and they're way too blue. I ordered the single high power white one that is 4500k and it's coming in a few days, I hope it's more white.

I'm concerned here... will a purchase of the hyper whites result in blue (significantly blue)? I've been reading conflicted info in this thread thus far

 

i have the 5 led lights and they look great, plus blue led parking lights

 

i got white from superbrightleds.com and they came out bluish/white and my stockers were brighter so i stuck with those. i currently have the 6led bulb in my front dome lights, and HAD them in my parking light and license plate light. Did not like the output and stuck out too much for my taste. I didnt want to attract cops attn with them which is why i went back to stock. I still have yet to figure out what exactly the new Lexus's use for their license plate lights i just know theire about $80 ea. hoping "Cabana" can come back with better results for us.

 

i got the white 6-LED's and mine arent blue at all ... at least i dont think they look blue.... i think what makes it looks blue is the camera .... heres how mine looks in real life ....

 

Yeah that's the one, should be here Friday I guess. The 6 LED are rated at 9600k, that's why they look so blue.

I'll take some pics with both when I receive the new one.
