Thanks for all the postive replies. The glue (Loctite extreme) won't stick to the paint and the emblem is comming off. So I have to wait until I order a new one which will have the tape on it. So nothing is wired up yet. I just connected it to a battery to light it up for now. And my big style CF lip spoiler just came it today. So I have another project.

y cant you just use 3m molding tape with the emblem to hold it on? or are the LEDs falling off? I used the tape to hold on my lip spoiler and that stuff works awesome.

on the back of the emblem there is some room to put the led strips in. I had to bondo the indented circle shape where the rear emblem was so the front emblem would lay flat. Then I just cut a grove in the bondo and placed the led strips in there.

The 3m tape has to be thin, there isn't a lot of room on the back of the emblem. Thats way I'm going to order a new one. It should have tape on every small spot.

That looks pretty bas a$$ man, I've thought about doing something like that myself, just don't have the time. But I would be interested in seeing a write up on this.

Keep up the good work.

Got a email that says the new emblem I ordered is on back ordered. I'm hoping it will be here by friday. Mean while I have decided to repaint the cover with dupli-color mirage paint. My CF overlay finally came in along with the eyebrows covers. so if the paint turns out bad I still have the sticker. I will post pics as soon as the emblem arrives. and again thanks for all the postive replies.

I have. It was the first way I was going to light it up. But then you would only see it at night when the brakes were applied.

Well I,m finaly done with everything. The color changing paint didn't flow to well. so I put on the CF overlay and clear coated it. Its cut out for the emblem so it has enough color to make it stand out but not over the top. As for the lights I wired them to the license plate lights. Everything is working so far. Here are some pics, I hope you enjoy.

this is about 20 feet away
