Default Looking for the 08 taillight DIY retrofit Thread

Trying to figure out what is necessary to install 08 OEM taillights on a 06 tC. Every thread i find mentions a DIY with no link. Can someone help me out?

well the bulbs are all connected to a harness... that harness connects to the car.. since the bulbs on the 05-06 are in different places than teh 08+, u need the right harness on the tail lights. where is connects to the car is the same.

Yeha i was told they needed to be retrofitted? So the harness from the 06 car will not plug into the 08 lights?

no cause the bulbs are different... its easier to just swap tails with someone with an 08 so you can just swap harnesses as well...

oh so you do have to have the 08 harnesses plug as well and splice them into the wiring for the existing tails then?

no when u take the tail off, u un hook teh wiring... now u have the car and the tail light... the tail light has wiring for the bulbs... the 08 tail has its own bulb harness... the 08 harness can plug straight into the car. no splicing needed
