I know grillcraft fits over the OEM grill.. but after a minute or two of staring at the IIP tC posted in the pic a few posts above, it doesn't look like the OEM grill is behind it. I don't see a Scion badge and it does look like you can see the radiator and such behind it. Can grillcraft grills be installed w/o the OEM grills present?

do you think there would be any problem with putting some driving lights behind a grillcraft? Not in the side vents, but on the left and right side of the lower center grill. Or do you think I should try and cut out places in the grill for them to sit flush w/o having the grill in front of them?

Grill in front of lights is such a bad bad idea, someone did it here, the pictures had beams of light going off in all sorts of crazy directions all over his garage door.

If they are signal lights (aka like the focus) you can get away with it, but any functionality is lost.

Cut, or stick them in the scoops.

okies, good enough then. I'm going to have to do some cutting. Their dimensions are too big to fit in the side vents. I'm looking at the PIAA 2100 series, model 2193. They're the plasma ion yellow ones. Besides, I want to get the 3 piece lower grill set.

Ya I took off the stock grill to mount mine. I didnt like the look of the scion badge behind it even when its painted black. The stock grill is just so cheap. People complaining about these other grills being cheap wire you should take a look at the quality of the stock grill. I mean it looks nice but probably cost them about .30 to mass produce lol.

Anyways I would say to cute the grill if you're mounting it with fog lights. As the poster said above you the light will get deflected all over.

ok... kinda off topic but i realized you dont have front license plates!!!
lucky... i asked the dealer if they can not drill it into the car, they said no.
Now if I take it off it looks like crap.

Mr. Grill off ebay, I'm still torn between leaving as is, or powercoating it black. The only bit that is still metal is just the front flat side of each grill, everything else is powercoat black.

Cars a bit of a mess, we've just had 9 straight days of rain, I'll give her a bath this weekend.

I just added the grilcraft grill to my SW. The directions do say to add the grill on top of the stock grill (and then move the scion logo to the front of the grillcraft grill). I installed it without the stock grills. I belive there is a walkthrough somewhere on here. Here: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...ght=grillcraft

Some one had a pic of a billet grill custom fitted into the area between the fog lights, I cant seem to find the post they had yellow fogs, the color was flint mica. I like that setup... I want to see how they cut it, It looked clean. But what would you cut it with ?, I think if you cut it with a dremel it would chip the edges or make them brown from the heat. I don't want to spend alot of money on a billet grill to cut and mess up.
