Lightbulb Lower grille LED help

I'm purchasing a 08 lower grille for my 05 tc and i was wanting to make it glow blue, I was wondering what kinda leds I would need to do this. I don't think led strips would give me the internal glow I want so if I could get some suggestions on placement also that would be great

PS. I want them to be switch activated so they don't come on unless I turn them on if I could get help with that it would be great

you can always put a switch in. a pair of 12" cathodes should run you about $7-8

I have a pair of cathodes on my 07 tc in the grill I would not recommend the 12 in cathodes they are too big for the grill and don’t fit right I am using a 3-4 in cathodes and they light up nice I can take a pic of them tonight and show you I have neon’s underbody kit and wired them into it also you need to get the converter for them to don’t just but the cathodes themselves they will not work. Here is a link http://www.oznium.com/cathodes of the web site that I used. They are easy to hook up and wire in also you need to buy some double sided tape to put them in. Remember to buy the dual cathode transformer. Each one of them are able to hook up two cathodes tubes.

I'm using cathodes for my top grille, LED strips for my bottom. Both are controlled by a switch. IMO the LED strips give you the flexibility for mounting purposes and it still fills up the space with light. Only downfall is that the LED strips cost a bit more.

I go through Oznium (www.oznium.com). You could go through other websites, but I find that they're mostly international (Hong Kong) and can take a good deal of time to arrive. Oznium has great customer service, also. Some of the LEDs burned out and some of my transformers blew and I called them up and they sent replacements with no questions asked.

I have one strip on the right side, one strip on the left side, and one in the middle. No idea about the sound activation...

I'm not even rocking my lower grille. I just have the LEDs to light up my intercooler. You can't even see the LED strips, I have them hidden so well.

That sounds sweet! And maybe I should buy some for my upper grille too...so maybe buy 4? And if I want to change my switches to match do I need some kind of 3 way switch for my under Dash and cup holders because if you click it once it turns on the holders then click it again the holders and under dash then click it again just under dash

For my grille lights, I have everything wired (top grille, bottom grille, and engine bay cathodes/LED strips) together, so I ran a wire through the firewall to a switch I have inside my car. It's an OEM switch.

I don't know if you can see here, but I have my three OEM switches on the panel on the bottom left of the picture.

One switch is for my interior lighting, the other is a dead switch (I used to have an underbody), the other switch is for all my engine bay/grille lighting).
