M3 Style Mirror Installation
I have recently had my passenger side mirror knocked off my TC. I chose to go with aftermarket mirrors to save $$ and thinking that it might look good on the car. I'm having some difficulty finding instructions on the the installation of these M3 mirrors. (they have a two color scheme blinker and are powered mirrors) I have looked at the wiring schematics for the scion on this site and those didn't help at all. I also cannot find any posts that pertain to the color scheme of the wiring harness for the mirror; all found have talked of black and white cables; mine are yellow, green and white. These are the details of the mirror:
- Blinker -
Blue Wire - Blue light
White Wire - White light
Black Wire - Ground
**I have this working**
- Motor -
Yellow
White
Green
The vehicles wiring harness on the vehicle has a black wire, which is split and runs parallel with the red wire and the white wire. With that said, the vehicle only has two connection points. The first problem is that i am trying to connect 2 wires (vehicle) to 3 wires (mirror). The most promising of info i found said to connect the black to only green, red <-> yellow, and white <-> white. This ended up blowing the fuse for the mirrors.
Has anybody installed mirrors like these successfully or just know how these need to be wired? Any help would be appreciated.

OK guys... let's try to be nice and helpful...
I haven't installed one of those mirrors... but I have put on a new replacement mirror. And they're actually only about $150 or $160 shipped from TRDSparks or McGeorgeParts. Color matched and everything.
That install takes about 3 minutes and is plug and play.
Like I said, I can't help exactly with your "m3" mirror... but thought I'd throw that out there if no one is able to help with your issue. Good luck.

there ugly yes but there cheap when ur in need of a mirror i had a set but the wiring was jus too much so i jus installed and manually did everything moved the mirror with my hand etc. then i had the money to buy new OEM mirrors and bought them and threw the m3's out didnt even bother trying to sell them
Thanks to those that have actually made an attempt at helping. And to the first two that replied, yes they're M3 mirrors, not the nicest of mirrors but a quick, cheap temporary fix...and from ebay ;-). Next time you guys reply to a post, make it useful. I did end up mounting them on and they do fit and don't look too bad but i will check out those sites ACK - those prices aren't bad at all - the dealership here wanted $250 for just the one mirror.

Hint: on the mcgeorge site, use the Scion tC link lower on the left side. don't use the top one. you'll see more options.

TRD sparks actually has them for 160 shipped OEM color and all that was actually the cheapest I was able to find for them New, but ofcourse u can always get lucky findinbg one on craigslist, ebay, junkyard for cheap I actually found one for 60 BSP but I had a FM cover already for it, found it on craigslist in VA had sum1 on the forum pick it up for me and send it. try junkyards bro. if ur missing a driver side one there's sum1 on here actualy selling it for 145 painted watever color it is u need check the classifieds. and good luck man post pics to show them it fits
I did end up buying one from TRDSparks. I had to email them to find where it was on the page; their search function does not work that good. Picked up a direct OEM replacement with color match for only 145, much cheaper than the dealership. Rosedaleny - i tried craiglists and could not find any matches and finding a part in a junkyard for a TC is very difficult around here - especially with a color match. Wish i knew Sparks had OEM painted replacements in the first place, would have just started there. I must admit though, factory does look much better than the M3 - so much for the temp, quick cheap fix, if i can't sell these then it cost me just as much it would have to go with the dealership. Thanks again for the help everyone. FYI - i still could not find the wiring specs for this specific mirror to go onto a TC (for the power mirror) if you're ever looking into getting something like this good luck with the wiring!
kool glad to see u got the mirror bro. now jus keep the m3 as a spare jus incase it ever happens again or try and get rid of them. I know there's sum1 out there that really wants them.
