Default Make hatch strut longer?

I've searched and did not find anyone mention this...

..but is there a way to make a bracket or buy a different strut for the rear hatch to make it go up another few inches?

..I'm tired of hitting my head on the latch!

..or it is the hinges at top of the hatch limit the movement?

The easiest solution would be to just watch out for the latch. Know where it is and be careful of it.

I understand that...but sometimes it seems like its lower than other times.

I dont know if it is a combination of the shoes I am wearing and my posture that day, but it worse sometimes than others.

I'm going to have to do some tinkering....just wondering if anybody else already has.

i've hit my head twice one day.. but only because i was backed into a curb and was standing on it... thus raising my own height a little bit more..

the hinges do limit movement to an extent... but i don't know of anywhere that makes a longer strut for the hatch.

If your hatch actually lowers a bit, you can get more powerful struts.
