Materials needed for pedestal spoiler install?
Hi. I have a pedestal spoiler sitting around waiting to be installed. I was trying to avoid doing it myself but i'm sick of dealing with my crappy local service center.
I'm trying to decide if I should go to a body shop or do it myself.
What tools and materials do I need to install it properly, other than the instalation kit?
Just a drill? Or will I also need adhesive or sealant or anything?

the kit has the template to mark where the holes will be drilled.
from there, you'll need a good drill, screwdriver, and ratchet.
the spoiler itself will have some mounting tape applied to it already.

Apparently, though, the spoiler was supposed to come with new struts, and it didn't.
I guess I should get the people I purchased from to send those, but do you think there would be any added difficulty replacing the struts after the spoiler is installed?
E.G. I won't have to take off all the panels inside the trunk again right?
I barely ever use the trunk so I can live with it slamming shut for a week.

you have to take off all the panels on the inside of the hatch.
did the spoiler come in it's original box? the new struts are slightly hidden... grab a friend to help hold up the hatch while you install the struts.

Unless they managed to hide them between the layers of cardboard.

Very nice of you to offer that though. They're the stronger ones that come with the spoiler?
