find the stuff you want to put in there, buy it, take out the upper grille, replace it, take off the bumper, take off teh lower grille, replace it....and there you go. It may take some time to figure out how you want to connect it but once you're done, you will love it.

$2 from home depot, and you don't really have to take the front bumper off.

I have to ask... are you doing it because you think it looks good and you want it on your car? Or because these "super tuners" have it in the mags?

If you want to do the bottom portion, you will almost certainly have to take the bumper off. the plastic liners and stuff hinder you from getting up under the bumper. Its really easy to do. Your best bet is to work on the top first and get that perfected, then after a month or so, and you like the way it looks, do the bottom.

I did the bottom without taking off the bumper - bottom grill just pops out and can be taken out without unscrewing anything. I put the "mesh" over the stock grill, though - there are not many good way to mount it by itself.

It's gutterguard. Looks and feels aluminum.

sweet, i am going to go to homedepot and pick me up some and do one my self.

It def makes the car look more aggressive and cleaner in my opinion. You did an awesome job keeping your car nice and clean.

Any tips or general directions that can help me out when im making the top portion?

A tip? buy couple of extra sheets of gutterguard. I screwed up the first one - did not leave enough on the bottom and when I started putting it on the car I realized that the bottom of the silver piece is not flat, it curves down a bit following the shape of the bumper. Keep that in mind.

hey, i got the gutter guards. When cutting the gutter guards, should i retain the shape of the silver piece?.. cut it exactly the way it is and make holes for the screws to go in?

QUESTION:

Those who have done the BOTTOM grille..how in the world do you mount it? I saw one guy who put the mesh on top of the stock one, but i tried it and it was a complete failure.
please help me!

If you're going to do your own mesh grille, do it from behind.

*Cough*. You guys know what I mean. I mean take the bumper off, and lay it on some towels before you put the grille in. Otherwise it just won't look right.

If you can, stay away from Galvanized unless you have some real thick gloves. That stuff it sharp, it hurts, the cuts get infected, and it will rip up your paint.

I reccomend very small screws to attach the mesh, or you might even try to find mounting clips at your local hardware store.

Cut the mesh larger than the opening, and tape the edges.

Or, be lazy like me, and order an overpriced grill from www.grillcraft.com.
