where did everyone mount their ballasts? if anyone has pictures that would be helpful as well.

Here is where I put mine, they are not mobilehid so yours will be smaller.

That is on the passenger side, I just used some velcro strips and zip ties.
Here is the drivers side, you can probably hide it better then I did but i like it there.

mounted mine off the radiator mount bracket behind the grille.over a year and never even one problem and no corrosion,or any other issues.

 

you know, i was actually thinking that as i was looking underneath my engine bay
stealership say anything to you about that?

 

My driver side is mounted like DJs, and my passenger side is mounted with the mounting bracket on the washer fluid bolt.

 

Mount your passanger side one like Dj's, mines like that. Its simple and a no brainer to do. I couldnt mount my driver side like Dj's because of my cold air box, BUt the easiest spot would be right on top of the plastic fuse box. and 3M Double sided tape, is a good choice.

shadow, are those the heavy duty ballasts? because thats waht i plan on going with.

 

i think those are the digital ballasts, I plan on getting those once my analogues die.

Looking at the mobilehid website, it looks like i have the "Heavy Duty" ballasts.

 

i can't wait to get my HID's. this is the first car im ever TRULY modding. i did a few custom things on my old car but this is going to be a fun project.

 

yea those are the newer slimmer digital ballast they dont require any type of relay harness

right now i have cliff sending me 2 new ones because one buzzes real loud and the other flickers

yup but if we ever have to replace it u need to take off the bumper but i didnt care looks so clean there bumper doesnt take to long to take off anyways

 

do you ever get water on your ballast? i know their ballast are waterproof but sometimes the connection can come loose and what not. i just want to find a really good spot to place some ballast.
