Default Moonroof Issues

The past couple of days I have noticed my moonroof has had problems opening and closing. It acts like I disconnected the power to the car but I haven't. I did get the alternator replaced about 3 weeks ago but it was acting fine after that.

Regardless, I reinitialized it (held close for 2 seconds) to see if that would fix the problems but it does not. I have to hold the button down about 3 to 5 seconds before it starts to move and it does not stop in the usual Tilt > Open 3/4 of the way > hold button to open all of the way. Also, it does not stop half way when it is closing. To top it off, after work today I had to manually push the glass up for it to begin to open. Anyone else experience these issues? I'm thinking it could be the motor?

Thanks for the help!

to reinitialize the sunroof you have to disconnect the battery for a while. and then do the button press thing but you have to let it open ALL the way and then close it all the way holding the button down, not just hold the switch to close.

when it opens all the way during the initialization you will know because it will open farther back then even the normal full open and tap the end of the tracks.

you'll also have to do it for the windows after disconnecting the battery, passenger side has to be set from the button on the passengers door.

Disconnect the batt. for an hour & reset the whole system. Check the tracks, get some Q tips and clean em up. Then lube em up with some CRC or WD40.
