Default Mr. Grille Billet Install Help

Has anyone purchased a billet grille from Mr. Grille off Ebay?

Got one, and now I am having some questions on the install. The provided instructions kind of suck, and its asking for a rivet gun and it includes some plastic rivets. I havent tried to tackle it yet, just wanted to see if someone has done an install guide or something. I have searched the site but didnt find anything.

The grille itself is awesome, super strong material and it looks sweet. It is for the top, bottom, and the corners. I do not have fog lights on it.

BTW, 09' Scion tC.

Does anyone have any advice?

I purchased the VRD grills off ebay and never had a problem with installing them. They actually went on real nice. Not sure about Mr. Grille though

Was it a mesh grille?

This is a Billet Grille.

The material is actually really great. It is very strong and sturdy. Its just a little foggy on the install. I have read the instructions numerous times, and just seem to not understand it. I may have to have someone else do it and say f'it and pay someone.

Also, its for my fiance, its her car, and she wants it done right and wants the Billet and not Mesh.

can you imagine if we all had vrd grills (albeit most of us do)

let them be different i say! lol

from what ive seen billet grills are mounted on top of the stock grill held on by clips or ties, can you give us some pics, we might be able to help

or maybe just describing what you have?

The top piece you remove existing grille and replace with new one. Angle bracket and rivet install. The lower middle you just place over the existing and use zip ties (crappy). The lower sides you place over existing and drill small holes for small plastic screws.

if it's the horizontal billets then there should also be 2 vertical bars. you can either 1. ziptie the billet to the existing grill (cheap way but easily reversible), or
2. you can dremel the honeycomb out but leave 4 honeycombs so you can ziptie the billet (non reversible but a much cleaner look).

So, looking at this, its not going to work. There is a gap on the bottom of both the grille's about an inch.... it is noticeable. I am not too happy. So, we are going to return this one and buy another.

Thanks for the input and advice though.
