If I took my VC off for the first time to paint it, would it likely to be in as much need to sand down/fill as your's Pete? Wondering how the first painting process on it would be easier than the following ones. Thanks!

UPDATE:
ok guys since this past weekend was easter weekend i couldnt work all that much on the VC... in miami its rained for the past 3 days non stop so humidity and bad weather have given me no break in working on this thing... how ever its Monday morning and im looking at the weather for today and it sucks but im going to atleast try to lay down my second coat of primer to see how it goes... sorry guys...weather here has been horrible and i dont wana take chances..
i also spent the weekend helping a friend install his speed source motor mounts, and i needed to fix my exhast leaks and also hook up my wideband...
