My Luminics Harness is fried!!!
Hi i have a tC and bought a set of ultra whites and 2 harnesses from luminics.
Starting a couple months ago, my left headlight would not turn on sometimes. I would have to go under the hood and kinda wiggle the harness and it would start working again. Last night i tried wiggling it since it went out, but it didnt turn back on. It wouldn't always not work like that, usually it happened if i havnt driven my car in a long time.
So after it cooled off, i put my stocker back in and i looked at my Luminics harness. Right under the plug that goes to the bulb, the insulation is melted off and the copper wire is exposed. I thought the "heavy duty" harnesses were supposed to prevent this.
Please Help!

the description on their site is vague, how is it wired ?
harnesses for headlights usually work by using a relay to feed power straight from the battery and using the stock harness as signal only switching the relay.

^ He bought a PnP harness that only suppose to withstand some heat itself and not the wirings. What you are talking about is a relay. Two different things.
I have been using 80 watts (output 150watts) on my stock harness with no problem (more than 6 months) with PlasmaGlow bulbs. I think it's something to do with the connective with the certain bulbs themselves. I still got scared of frying the harness so then I just moved to HIDs.
I actaully recommend looking at other brands of bulbs instead of luminic, since seems like only that brand has been getting people's harness fried. I never heard of anyother brands.

I got a pair to and it fried my stock harness. At first i thought the light bulb went out then when i went to pull it out i came on so for a week or two i went with poppin the hood to wiggle it and it would be fine. then after a while i got sick of it and pulled it out and when i looked i seen that the bulb itself had fried the inside on the copper and some of the plastic. =( so i guess im have to salvage a tC harness cause i dont think luminics has been reinbursting ppl for this problem.
Yep sciontc_tc thats a good description that mine could go by too, but this happend to the plug n play harness i bought that luminics supplied. I cant really utilize the waranty because i bought it through a friend and im pretty sure he threw out the receipt. Im driving with one stocker and one ultra white i look funny rolling down the street lol.
i was having the same problem with nokyas. i even upgraded the harness and it still fried it. ended up relaying my head and fog lights. havent had a problem and its been in for like 2 months
There is one thing I like to mention about Luminic... they dont make those PnP harnesses. The Luminic you bought also isn't really the actual manufacture of the bulbs. Most of the stuff made is by another third party.
i had the same problems with my luminics bulbs. melted both my headlight sockets. i had to wiggle it sometimes to make it work. im getting new harnesses and upgrading to HID's since the money i spent with headlights bulbs could've gotten me HID's by now.
