PROJECT UPDATE: 6/26/08 - acquired super rare recaro gradient fabric to match VC.. pics of PG.3 ballin on a whole new level...

so after the pretty decent success i've have with the candy green, i've decided now to up the anty with this new design. heres a photoshopped version of what its pretty much going to look llike to some extent.. ive already worked out what to do as far as how the letters get strecthed across the entire valve cover with respects to the deep grooves and and angles, so that doesnt worry me anymore. this valve cover is going to match something else going on the car (hopefully) soon when i get all the money together to finish fixing my beat up recaros...

i was waiting for someone like you HK to bring that up... i dont know if your familiar with this of have seen it before HK but recaro has made in limited quanteties recaro gradient fabric in gray and orange......

I know HK didnt step on you know what lol... but i was waiting for someone to bring it up... so i was already prepared to post up the recaro gradient fabric and some examples that have already been done.. and not im redoing my recaros... the busted ones i posted waaaaay back that are still un touched in my car lol

heres another example... the picture of the grey one i posted up above was from a yahoo auctions in japan i was looking at but missed out on.... alot of people have done bride and bride gradation... but very few have done recaro.. it like the bride is scarce and costs a penny.. i went with recaro because its what i currently have, no one has done it on a tc (recaro wise) taek did bride waay back... and also ive been more comfortable in recaros then brides..just a preference..

Putting Recaro's in an Evo is a total waste, rofl.

And I guess that center gauge conversion is pretty common for those cars lol.

 

well its a nice touch... with out recaros in an evo.. alot more s2k seats would be stolen vs. ppl grabbing the evo seats and putting them in other cars..i have a friend with evo recaros in his xb.. looks super dope.. and many friends with evo recaros in other cars..

 

I love the Evo recaros, my second favorite seat. If they weren't a million and a half dollars, I'd get them for my tC, and suede match the rears. But what I was saying, is that the car already has some of the best Recaro's, I see 0 reason to downgrade (the gradient ones look like they have less supportive bolsters). I sit in those seats on a daily basis..(Evo ones).

The whole point of the seats is for them to be supportive and hold you in place, I just see these as serving their purpose better.

 

I think the VC would look better without the Recaro logo all over it, but it still looks like an interesting project nonetheless.
