I have little rust like specs in my paint. When you go up real close you can see it?? anyone else have this problem. Im learning now that the paint sucks!

 

I have what looks like little rust marks on some parts of my car... but the oddest part is that it's usually on plastic like my sideskirts or something.

 

yeah mine is white and its all over, its a 2007 and ive only had it for 2 months. it came from the dealer that way. Im going to the dealer tomorrow screw that.

 

Ya, if it came from the dealer like that, you shouldn't have accepted delivery.

Chances are that it's just from riding on the delivery truck though. Most likely will buff out and be fine - not necessarily a paint problem. Hard to say though.

But definitely take it back and talk about it.

yeah ima bring it back tomorrow, thats bull! otherwise i love the car, was a honda guy but i hated when they got stolen 2 TIMES lol

 

Would help if you were more spec. what color do you have? My friend has super white with little rust looking spots.

 

most likely the spots came from another source and are not from your car. Just wax and hopefuly youll be fine

 

Probably just rail dust. Buy yourself a clay bar kit and spend some time on it. It'll go away.

 

I just got rid of all the rust looking specks on my wifes tC last week. A clay bar and some time did the trick for me.

I was about to say that. Clay bar it and see if it comes back; there's constantly small dark spots in my SW paint, typically all road dirt (or another rock chip *joy*). If it does come back, show no mercy to a dealer/Toyota corporate.

My blizzard pearl paint has the same spots.
But they stood no chance against the good ol' claybar.

Check your local parts stores cleaning section. I use Meguiars products but have used others clay bars as well (Mothers worked well). Be sure to at least wax it after you clay bar. My routine for using clay bar: Wash, clay, paint cleaner, polish, and wax.

 

Do you happen to park near trees??? cuz that will be who is puttin all them lil spots on ur cars...
of course road debris can do it too....

 

Those are pollen spots. They can be easily removed with your thumb nail!

 

i agree with ZlineDavid. clay bar the exterior and see how it turns out.

 

no its from the factory so the dealer is going to detail it for free.
