Default Need advice on next mod, Vertical doors or Kaminari body kit

Ok guys and gals, I have a 2005 tC Indigo Ink Pearl. No body mods and stock wheels. I do have an Injen intake and exhaust, Ingalls Stiffy, B&M short ____er, blue LED conversion, Pioneer AVIC-N2, Tein H-Tech springs, and Hotchkis front and rear sway bar kit.

I just got the windows tinted to 20% all the way around.

I also have the Umnitza Angel eyes, but I got some problems with those, first I broke a halo, then when I got a new one to put in, the ballasts burned out, and I got major condensation problems even after I rebaked them and tried to seal them as tight as possible. I wanna get the new projectors when they come out from Umnitza, but gotta wait for that.

What I wanna do next is either the Vertical doors from VDI or Kaminari bodykit.
If I do the body kit, I don't have enough money right now to get the spoiler and hood at the same time.

I also want to get rims, but that's next.

So what what do you guys suggest?

I'll post pictures up by tomorrow of what my car looks like now, I do have a pic in my profile but it's stock in that, and you all know what stock looks like.

Any suggestions would be helpful and maybe even links to where I can get a good price on either.

Thanks for any help.

Honestly, and I know its not a choice in your poll. But I feel rims before bodykit or doors. Just my opinion tho.

Thanks for the opinion. I might add rims to the poll if I get enough people suggesting that.

I would like and would appreciate any advice as long as it's constructive. My price range is around $1,500 give or take. If I get the body kit, I would get it painted and install it myself. The doors I would rather have a professional install it for me.

well for the kit, I finished mine up today. I am very happy with it. There are a few things with the fitment of the Kaminari I am not to fond of. But overall for a DIY, I am happy.

Yeah I was reading your thread earlier, I think it looks good. Is there anywhere you can get grills that are made for the kit or do you have to make them yourself?

If you want the bodykit I'd get that next. You will probably want to choose some rims after the car's been kitted so you can see how they look with the kit on there.

I wouldn't bother with the scissor doors personally.

Thanks for the reply guys. I'm leaning more toward a bodykit then rims, but the vertical doors would look kind of bad a$$ with the body kit. But the last thing I want to do is make it a ricer.

Between the two, I would get the kit. I too would vote for new rims before anything else. That's my 2-bits.

if u search around enuff u can get rims and bodykit for the $1500. especially if u are going to be the one to paint and install urself. but yea i would highly recommend gettin bigger rims wif that kaminari kit. i made the mistake of gettin the kbd touring kit before rims and damn it looked retarded for bout a couple of weeks until i got bigger rims. the stock rims only look good on lip kitted tc's.

Get the kit, and don't bother with the lambo doors.

That's just my opinion--they look cool as heck, but are not worth it in the long run.

And sorry to post twice in a row, but do you have a link for this? No grille is one of the reasons I'm wary of kits.

lambo doors are good for show cars they are just not practical for everyday use. they are hard to get in and out of. i say go with rims

I would get the kit before the doors but I would also get wheels before the kit. IMO the kit doesnt look right sitting on stocks...

Well then, since it seems like the doors are out and the kit is in, but rims before the kit, what is everydobys suggestion on rims?

I get a little confused when it comes to the offsets and what they mean. What I do want is 18X7.5's or 18X8's and definetly a lip. I don't want to have issues with the wheels rubbing and I don't want to have to roll fenders, I just want some rims I can put on the car and I'm good to go. Remember I have Tein H-Tech springs on the car.

Thanks again for all the input guys, it's really helping me out to make the best decision.
