Default Need a DIY for VRD foglights.

Can someone please do a DIY, or whatever you wanna call it, thread for the VRD foglights. I haven't seen anybody do this yet and I think it would be great for the boards because a lot of people are starting to be interested in them. I personally know I am gonna get them but would love to know how easy/hard the install is. I don't know anything bout wiring other than installing my sub in my car. The biggest thing I have ever installed is my Injen exhaust and Injen CAI.

So if someone could please post pics of the install or atleast post scans of the instructions that would be awesome and greatly appreciated.

Well I may install mine this week. I can do a write up on the bumper cut, but that's about it. My car was wired with the factory fogs already, so these will just plug into that. I couldn't give you much of a DIY, but I'll see if I can help a little.

uhm...don't they come with a wonderful set of complete, step by step instructions even with pictures of the installation specific to the tc and such? so they come with their own DIY instructions...do you really need one online?

I think he was talking about the wiring part. I have installed fog lights on a few cars already and its not that hard, you just have to take your time, disconnect the battery, attach them to the bumper run the wiring to the battery and through the firewall, run it through the console, attach to the button, put it all back together, easier said than done tho.... I am ordering my vrd's as well as my new headlights/hid's by the end of the week. I wanna get it done all in one shot so I dont have to keep taking my bumper on and off, Ill let you know how the install is once Im done...

it's plug and play...

you don't need to wire anything except for plugging stuff in.

There is a tech article on SL that covers the install of the OEM fogs really well, and when it comes to the interior part of the install, the VRDs and OEMs are the same (I'm pretty sure); heck I expect the VRD and OEM fogs to use the same connection that's already in our tCs, from the factory. Here's the link to the article, well done!

Hey,

The Installation guide comes with the Fog lights. It very simple, we use the same plug-in's as the OEM fog lights therefore there should be no problems. Since everyone wants to know, go here -----> https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...4d481a#2923897
