Default Need help please

So awhile ago i switched my 08s for some cheap altezzas. Really really long story short im putting my 08s back on for the time being till i get my tax return back and can retro my altezzas.
I cut the connector that plugs into the low beam too short so i cant splice it back on. Anyone know where i can get another connector? I called the dealer and they want 25 bucks for ONE connector.....

That isnt so expensive for a connector honestly. Good, weathertight connectors are expensive. I am working on an R&D project right now, and the waterproof (not oil proof either) 2 pin connectors we are using are about $6.00 per side (male and female), so $12.00 for one connector essentially. And that is buying in bulk from a large distributor.

You could try salvage yards and see if they will sell you a connector with a pigtail still attached though.

You can likely remove the pins from the old plastic body, solder them back together, and click the pins back in.

Pins are usually barbed to lock into the plastic body when they're made due to a pair of barbs on the pins. Use small pick or jeweler's screwdriver to release barbs and pull out pins.

I think just pay the 25$ from the dealer.
Salvage yard you could get it cheap, but I don't find it worth the time to find one.

Okay so i ended up soldering them together with what little wire i had left. But now i have a big problem. My 08 headlights are basically all set up and ready to go back in. But i have NO power to the drivers side. The high beams low beams blinker nothing will work. On the left side the lows and highs work but not the running lights!!

You probably grounded a wire on that side and popped the fuse. Go look

okay so i fixed the passenger side but the running lights for both sides wont work (the little bulbs that go in the high beams slot)
I looked at all the fuses for the lights and they look fine.
Any ideas?

Do your blinkers work? If so, you probably just missed the little plugs on the bottom for the day time running lights and the orange corners.

City lights and orange corners are wired together. If one works, but not the other its not a fuse problem. Can you describe what you mean by "running lights" to make sure we're speaking the same language?

okay so by running light i mean the little bulb thats in under the high beam. That lights also connected to my orange corners and those dont work either. They worked before when i tested them but they wont now.

So its basically little grey connector to running light bulb and to orange corners. I used a little power cherker thing to see if power was comming through either connectors and the bulb didnt light up so no power...
