Just something that annoyed me with my car was the stock antenna.

Decided to go with a window mount antenna as I did on my tahoe in the past since the antenna looks crappy.

Here is what the window mount antenna looks like. Sorry no pics of it just yet.

So to delete the stock antenna I decided to machine up basically this nub to finish it off. Just have to pick up some paint and all will be good.

nice! at least you dont have to worry about those auto car washes with your 2 foot stock antenna! haha

 

Not using that small nub as an antenna. I switched to a window mount antenna so I will have good reception as I have done in my past vehicles.

The nub is just to finish off the base so it does not look unfinished if I take the antenna off.

In all reality I could shave the antenna base completely but I do not feel like spending my time to do so. I am not into the car enough to go more in depth.

the window mount antenna is the one shown in the link. Basically it sits on the inside of the car at the top of any window. It looks basically like a remote start/alarm antenna in your car. It truthfully works well.

iono.. clean job.. but i say if its already there.. why mess with it? i like looking out my right side mirror and seeing my short antenna.. iono reminds me of a Top Gun view.. ok imma dork, but still good job on the making on the nub but im iffy on the looks.

 

ehh... sorry, but not feeling it. either shave it off if youre going to do that or use the s2k one..

sorry man i dont use the genesee entrance, i use the mesa college drive one so i park on the street next to the stadium... i also park in the lot across from the stadium (not that huge parking lot near admissions). and another thing i only have class on mon, wed, and thurs.

I will try and toss up some more pics now that it is painted. It looks good in my eyes now that it is painted but to each their own.
