Default New bumper??? *Pics Added*

Well I was on my way home tonight after shooting a boxing match in NYC ... doing 65 on the highway ... and BAM I see a tire fragment two feet in front of my bumper and a car on either side of me. I had no choice but to hit it.

So, front bumper needs placement, as far as I can see no damage internally. The bottom grille is missing as well as the fog light holes on one side.

What would a new bumper cost roughly?

My insurance would cover this but my deductible is $1000 so if the parts are less than that then I would do it myself. I am thinking that it will be more than that so I will likely go through insurance but just wanted to see.

Where do they have bumpers listed? I dont mean just the lip ... like the whole lower bumper is gone almost. Plus paint and maintenance cost if I dont do it myself ... you really think it would be under a G?

^ Yup. Even if you get another colored bumper, and paint it, it should be under 1k...

you could try the shop i went to....i've had my quarter panel fixed before at another shot and the pearl didnt show as well as this one on the bumper it looks like it came off the line..... i could give you their info if you want PM me ...give them a call and take it from there...

where ever you feel comfortable......that's the one place i would recommend though.

Ouch rough. New bumper cover definitely. I think its like ~200 from the dealership, i think sparks stopped selling it cuz for what you would pay sparks for a cover + shipping, it comes out to be about the same if u were to just pick it up from the dealership. Paint would probably be 200-300. Maybe 500 if you want it done really well I figure?

As for the grill. contact Vito (simplyscion) on here. He works at Smithtown Scion. He's selling lower grills for 30 bucks a pop.

Yeah I went and purchased the bumper today from the dealer, for the foglight hole cover and bumper it was $260+Tax

Paint and installation is $250 at a body shop in Smithtown.

I will ask Vito about the bottom grille ... mine is technically still usable but it is in pretty rough shape. I want the '08 grille though it is much nicer than the previous years.

The top grille, for whoever asked, it is the VRD as someone stated before.

Thanks for the input guys. She will be good as new next week!

I guess it is a good thing that I didnt install my new lip yet lol

Ohh another question that pieces that sit on the undercarriage, the plastic that is pointing down now ... is it completely necessary? I removed the one piece so I could drive the car today but was just going to take the other piece off too.

you can drive with-out them for now. I wouldn't drive with-out them for an extended time tho. I'm not even sure you need them really.

Vito sells the 08 grills too.

What body shop did you go to? I kinda need a new front bumper too, prolly get one during the summer.

I went to Riverside Autobody, it was a recommendation from a guy that does my maintenance ... so I knew that I was getting my dollars worth and they do really good work. They are just down the street from Smithtown Toyota.
